PujaSathi Community Guidelines
How we expect committees and brands to treat each other, and each other's money. 23 rules, what happens when they are broken, and how to reply if we act on your account.

PujaSathi connects puja committees with brands who want to advertise at their festivals. It only works if both sides can trust what they read on a listing, and what happens after the money moves.
These Guidelines say what we expect. They apply to everyone with a PujaSathi account.
They sit alongside our Terms of Service, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Proof of Display Standard. Where anything here differs from the Terms of Service, the Terms govern.
Part A — For everyone
1. Say true things. Describe your festival, your spaces, your business and your intentions accurately. Estimates are fine — say they are estimates. Inventing figures is not.
2. Keep the deal on PujaSathi. Discuss and complete bookings through the platform. If a booking is arranged off-platform after being introduced here, we cannot verify it, cannot hold the money, cannot enforce proof of display, and cannot help either side when it goes wrong. Repeated circumvention ends the account.
3. Respect the occasion. These are religious and community celebrations before they are advertising venues. Nothing on PujaSathi — listings, artwork, messages — should demean any faith, deity, community or practice.
4. Treat people decently. No harassment, threats, abuse or intimidation. No discrimination on caste, religion, gender, language, region or disability. This applies to committees, advertisers, and our own team.
5. One account, real identity. Register with your real name and your organisation's real details. Do not create multiple accounts to get around a suspension.
6. Nothing unlawful. No content or activity that breaks Indian law, including intellectual property you do not own.
Part B — For puja committees
7. List only what you control. List a space only if your committee has the right to sell it and can actually deliver it. If it depends on a permission you have not yet received, say so in the listing.
8. Price per unit, not per lot. The price field is the price for one unit of that space. If you have 30 banners at ₹3,500 each, the price is ₹3,500 and the quantity is 30 — not ₹1,05,000. An advertiser buying one banner is charged the price you entered. Getting this wrong can charge a brand many times what you intended, and we will cancel and refund such bookings.
9. Do not change a price once a slot has bookings. Edit prices freely before anyone books. After a booking exists on a slot, the price is fixed for that festival. Contact us if something genuinely needs to change.
10. Footfall figures must be honest. Give your best estimate and be ready to say how you arrived at it. Do not use last year's peak day as a daily average, and do not use the whole locality's population.
11. Photographs must be your own. Use photographs of your own festival, from the year you say they are from. Not another committee's pandal, not stock images, not renders presented as photographs.
12. Install what was agreed, where it was agreed. The position, size and exclusivity in the listing are what the advertiser paid for. A banner promised at the main gate does not go up in a side lane.
13. Submit proof on time. Photographs of the installed branding, within the window in our Proof of Display Standard. Late proof with a reason is far better than no proof. Repeated failure affects your verified status and your eligibility for advance payment.
14. Do not sell the same space twice. One physical space, one sale — unless the listing clearly says the placement is shared and the advertiser agreed to that.
15. Permissions are yours. Municipal permissions, advertisement tax, and fire and safety clearances for your venue are your responsibility.
16. Tell us early when something goes wrong. Rain damage, a cancelled festival, a space that cannot be installed — tell us before the advertiser finds out some other way. Early honesty is treated very differently from a discovered failure.
Part C — For advertisers and brands
17. Send artwork on time and print-ready. Committees print locally on real deadlines. Late artwork is the most common cause of a campaign going wrong, and the one entirely within your control.
18. You must own what you send. By uploading artwork you confirm you hold the rights to every logo, image, font and mark in it. If a third party claims otherwise, that claim is yours to answer.
19. Content rules. Nothing prohibited or restricted in India, including tobacco and alcohol advertising and surrogate advertising for them. No political party or election advertising. No claims you cannot substantiate. Nothing sexual, violent or otherwise unsuitable at a family religious venue.
20. Respect the setting. Do not place commercial branding on, above or beside a deity or an idol, and do not ask a committee to do so. Most will refuse, and they are right to.
21. Look at the proof before disputing. If the installation photographs show what you paid for, the booking is delivered. Raise a dispute for a genuine failure — wrong position, wrong size, not installed, not visible — not for a change of mind or a disappointing sales week.
22. Pay through PujaSathi. Paying a committee directly after finding them here removes every protection you came for, including proof of display and any refund right.
23. Do not use a booking to poach. A booking is not an introduction to bypass us next season, and not a licence to approach a committee's other sponsors.
What happens if these are broken
We aim to talk first. Most problems are misunderstandings or a missed deadline, and a phone call fixes them.
Where that is not enough, in order of seriousness:
| | Action | |---|---| | 1 | A warning, in writing, saying what needs to change | | 2 | The listing is unpublished, or the booking is cancelled and refunded | | 3 | Verified status removed; advance payment eligibility withdrawn | | 4 | Account suspended | | 5 | Account barred permanently, and where money is owed to another user, held until the matter is resolved |
We act faster and harder where money has moved, where a brand's campaign is at risk during the festival, or where someone has been dishonest rather than careless.
Right of reply. If we act against your account we will tell you why, and you may respond to our Grievance Officer at grievance@pujasathi.com. We acknowledge within 48 hours.
The legal position, kept short
These Guidelines describe expected conduct. They do not replace or expand our contractual terms.
Our full legal position — what we do and do not guarantee, the limits of our liability, and how disputes are handled — is in our Terms of Service. Where these Guidelines and the Terms differ, the Terms of Service govern.
In summary, and set out properly in the Terms: PujaSathi operates a marketplace. We are not the provider of the advertising service and we do not run the festivals. Committees are independent organisations, not our agents or employees.
